Mix design and performance of lightweight ultra high-performance concrete

چکیده

The inferior mechanical properties and durability of conventional lightweight concrete restrict its wider application. This study intended to design a novel ultra high-performance (L-UHPC) using mathematical approach, with view achieving low density excellent performance. Two materials (i.e. micro-sized glass microsphere expanded shale aggregates) were introduced in the mix L-UHPC. statistical optimization via Central Composite Design was proved be an effective method produce designed L-UHPC showed comparable or even superior functional than normal-weight UHPC cement mortar. use specified played prominent roles ensuring high microhardness paste matrix internal curing aggregates contributed great development can provide new solution for constructing structures composites.
